Psychedelic Education

With our public training, MAPS seeks to empower individuals to understand and benefit from the careful use of psychedelics through comprehensive education and harm reduction training, backed by 35 years of psychedelic research, education, and drug policy reform.

Psychedelic Peer Support

We envision a world where communities are educated, resourced, and engaged in applying harm reduction principles to support individuals exploring psychedelic states; recognizing that challenging experiences can be opportunities for self-exploration and healing.

Professional Development

This training is intended for a lay-person audience who is interested in learning how to have better quality psychedelic journeys while managing risks. The training offers guided discussions about how to identify and manage risks, strategies for how to respond to challenges, more about psychedelic research, risk management, peer support, law and advocacy, and career paths.

Psychedelic Research

At MAPS, we’ve been dedicated to psychedelic research since 1986. Now, we’re shifting perceptions to give medicine and our society the tools needed to heal—no matter who you are.

We Stand Firm

in Our Roots

Since 1986, MAPS has been guided by the same aspirational beacons that, to this day, continue to inform our path forward. By integrating the past and embodying our shared values in the present, we are actively co-creating a future that honors every individual’s right to heal. Our decades-long history of perseverance in the face of fear-based stigma reveals our radical commitment to pursuing our vision with balance, accountability, and integrity.
